White Sauce Pasta Recipe

Here is a recipe for making White Sauce Pasta:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of pasta (spaghetti, penne, or any type of pasta you prefer)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix of your choice)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or basil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it is al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add in the flour and stir continuously to make a roux.
  3. Slowly add the milk while stirring constantly. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and starts to boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and add in the grated cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg powder (if using). Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.
  6. Serve the pasta in individual plates or bowls and sprinkle with additional grated cheese and chopped parsley or basil on top.

You can customize this recipe by adding vegetables like mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach, or by adding protein such as chicken, shrimp, or bacon for a more filling dish. If you prefer a more creamy sauce, you can add in more cheese or heavy cream while making the sauce. Enjoy your homemade White Sauce Pasta!
