Vegetable Pakora Recipe

Here is a recipe for making vegetable pakora:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped vegetables (onion, spinach, potatoes, bell pepper, cauliflower, eggplant etc)
  • Water as needed
  • Oil for deep-frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Slowly add water to the mixture and stir until it forms a thick, smooth batter.
  3. Add the finely chopped vegetables to the batter and mix well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or a large pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Using your hands or a spoon, drop small portions of the batter into the hot oil. Fry the pakoras until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the pakoras with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve the vegetable pakoras hot with green chutney or tamarind sauce.

You can also try adding some chopped cilantro, mint leaves, and grated ginger to the batter for extra flavor. Enjoy your homemade vegetable pakora!
