He was born on June 13, 1964, in Mumbai, India. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Mumbai and later earned his Chartered Accountancy degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He began his career as a Chartered Accountant and later moved on to the financial sector, working with several banks and financial institutions. In 2000, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party and has since held various positions in the party and the government. He has served as the National Treasurer of the BJP and as the Minister of State for Power, Coal, and New & Renewable Energy in the Government of India. In 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of Railways and Commerce in the Government of India. He is known for his work in the areas of power, coal, and finance, and has been honored with several awards and recognitions for his contributions to the Indian economy and society.
