Nitin Gadkari Biography ?

Nitin Gadkari is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is currently serving as the Minister of Road Transport & Highways, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the Government of India. He was born on May 27, 1957 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He completed his education in Nagpur and later earned a law degree from the Government Law College, Nagpur. He began his political career in the 1980s as a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has held various positions in the party and the government. In 1995, he was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and served as the Public Works Department Minister in the Government of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999. In 2014, he was appointed as the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Shipping in the Government of India. He was re-appointed to the same position in 2019. He is known for his work in the areas of infrastructure development and transportation and has been instrumental in the development of several National Highways and Expressways in India. He has been honored with several awards and recognitions for his contributions to the Indian infrastructure sector.
