Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer who is considered one of the best limited-overs batsmen in the world. He is a right-handed top-order batsman and an occasional captain of the Indian national team.

Sharma was born on April 30, 1987 in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He began playing cricket at a young age and was eventually selected to play for the Indian Under-19 team. In 2007, he made his debut for the Indian national team in a One Day International (ODI) match against Ireland.

In the following years, Sharma established himself as a key player for India in limited-overs cricket, known for his aggressive and powerful batting style. He has represented India in over 200 ODIs and over 100 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), and is one of the most successful Indian batsmen in these formats.
