Mahendra Singh Dhoni, commonly known as MS Dhoni, is a former Indian cricketer and captain of the Indian national team. He is considered one of the greatest cricketers of all time, and is one of the most successful captains in the history of Indian cricket.

Dhoni was born in Ranchi, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), and he began his cricketing career as a goalkeeper for his school team.
