Rashid Khan was born on September 20, 1998 in Nangarhar, Afghanistan. He began playing cricket at a young age and quickly made a name for himself as a talented leg-spinner. He made his first-class debut for Afghanistan in 2015 and made his international debut for the national team later that year.
In 2017, he became the youngest player to captain an international side, when he led Afghanistan in a Twenty20 international series against Zimbabwe. He is now the captain of Afghanistan cricket team since 2019.
He has played for several T20 leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League, where he has represented the Sunrisers Hyderabad since 2017. He is one of the top-ranked T20I bowlers and has taken over 150 wickets in T20 cricket. He has also been successful in the 50 over format of the game and has a 5 wicket haul and two four wicket haul in ODI cricket.
