Rahane was born on June 6, 1988, in Ashwi KD, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. He began playing cricket at a young age and made his first-class debut for Mumbai in 2007. He quickly established himself as a key player for the team and was selected to play for the Indian national team in 2010.
