Dipika Pallikal Biography ?

Dipika Pallikal Karthik is a professional squash player from India. She was born on September 21, 1991, in Chennai, India. Pallikal began playing squash at the age of 11 and quickly made a name for herself on the national and international squash scene. In 2011, she became the first Indian woman to break into the top 10 of the Women's Squash Association (WSA) rankings.

In 2012, Pallikal won her first WSA Tour title at the Holden Squash Classic. She also won the National Squash Championship in India for the first time in the same year. In 2013, Pallikal became the first Indian woman to reach the semi-finals of a Platinum event, the J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions.

Pallikal also represented India at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and 2014 and at the Asian Games in 2014 and 2018. She was the first Indian squash player to reach the finals of a gold medal event in the Commonwealth Games.

Pallikal was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2012 and the Padma Shri in 2014. Pallikal is also known for her off-court activities, she is a brand ambassador for several leading brands and she is also actively involved in charity work.
